Chesapeake Health & Rehabilitation Center, a 180 bed skilled rehab center in Chesapeake, is seeking a scheduler for the nursing department.  The facility is conveniently located off of Battlefield Blvd next door to the Chesapeake Regional Hospital.

The Scheduler prepares four-week staffing ratios, maintains monthly nursing schedules for the Nursing Services Department, responds to employees’ requests for time off, and maintains daily overtime logs. The scheduler will also communicate with Staff Development Coordinator and Clinical Unit Managers regarding schedule changes needed for training and in-services.  Monitor daily nursing employee time (with Hosted Time software program). Track nursing dept bonus program to remain within budget.  Engage with staff on the nursing units to build positive relations.  Communicate with approved agency vendor to fill open shifts.

Experience with staffing ratios and scheduling preferred.

The LPN supervises CNAs and provides direct patient care in accordance with state, federal and MFA guidelines. Qualifications include but are not limited to:

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct care to the residents of the health and rehabilitation center, assisting them in activities of daily living under the direction and supervision of a professional nurse. Those duties include but are not limited to: bathing, dressing, serves and collects food trays, feeds residents, measures and records weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output as directed.

Qualifications:

Must have current Virginia Nurse Aide license in good standing or be within 100 days of completion of state approved CNA course.
