Job Specific Duties:

• Screens, evaluates and develops programs for implementation for all patients as needed.
• Supervises Occupational Therapist Assistants and aides according to state guidelines.
• Develops effective occupational therapy treatment plans and goals to meet each patient’s needs.
• Collaborates/communicates effectively with other center team members to ensure optimal patient care and progress.
• Prioritizes responsibilities to ensure efficient clinical operations.
• Demonstrates ability and willingness to attain productivity benchmark.
• Completes documentation/billing timely, and accurately. Ensures MD orders are obtained according to company policy and procedure.

Skills and Abilities:

Requirements:

Occupational Therapists will hold licensure as outlined by the state Board of Occupational Therapy in the state of employment.

Chesapeake Health & Rehabilitation Center, a 180 healthcare center in Chesapeake, Virginia, is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) who is licensed in Virginia or is a graduate of an approved PTA program and is actively working toward licensure.  We're located off of Battlefield Blvd near the Chesapeake hospital.

The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) is responsible for implementing treatment programs established by the Physical Therapist in accordance with all state, federal and JCAHO regulations. They collaborate with facility staff to promote the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial wellbeing for the residents. As a member of our LifeWorks Rehab team, you will enjoy 2 spacious, modern gyms and a terrific team of rehab professionals.

Must be currently licensed in Virginia or is a graduate of an approved PTA program and is actively working toward licensure.
